Ms. Longwell has concentrated her practice in family law and related matters for over 20 years, handling cases primarily in Cook, DuPage, Will, and Lake Counties. She represents men and women in divorce, custody, support, paternity and post-divorce litigation. She also is frequently appointed to represent children in Cook County divorce and parentage cases.
Marilyn is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and has been appointed to its Family Law Section Council which reviews and proposes statutory changes and provides continuing education for the state bar association. She is past president of the West Suburban Bar Association as well as a member of the Chicago, DuPage County, and Women’s Bar Associations. She has twice been a finalist for Cook County Associate Judge. Ms. Longwell has authored numerous articles and given many presentations on Family Law topics. She is admitted to all levels of state and federal courts in Illinois.
